They practically know me by name at the Tempe location. I have a well stocked workshop now and I have no complaints at all about the quality of the tools. They have a great warranty if people will simply use it. I would personally recommend the Insiders Club, I saved enough during the holidays to pay for the full years membership.

Went to buy Dolly wheels that were on sale. To my surprise the quantity I wanted (4), were still in stock. I was greeted right away, and given the exact location of the wheels. Help was even offered to help carry them. Super pleasant experience.

I went into the Chandler, Harbor Freight for one item that I saw on sale, the day before, on their website. When the item rang up at full price, thinking I had grabbed the wrong item, I asked the cashier if there was a different set of drill bits on special. He looked through his phone, asked the other cashier, then pulled open the paper advertisements. He found it in the newspaper and said it ended the day before. I asked if he could honor the sale price, but he refused. I asked if a manager might be able to honor that price; it had rained and poured the day before. Even if I had not noticed the ending date of the sale, I would not have ventured out it in that weather for something as trivial as drill bits. He told me that he was the manager and that he would not honor that sales price. Seems as if customer service has lost its common sense. Not to mention empathy and human decency. I purchase quite a few items from Harbor Freight. I frequented the one on Warner, still do, however, the Chandler location is walking distance from my house. Too bad for them!! I will be using Amazon more frequently after this experience. I try to use my local stores over Amazon and Ebay, but why should I bother driving when there is no advantage to helping them out when they do not reciprocate the favor?
