This place is like a hardware store from the 1950's, I'm surprised they take credit and debit cards. Their customer service sucks. Their inventory management is primitive. Call the store before you go and speak with someone who has worked there for more than 2 days and verify the item you want is actually there. The website is often wrong. No military or veterans discounts. I would 1/4 up the 1 star, 1/3 Star is appropriate.

I bought a tool box on black Friday but of course they dont actually have the products they advertise, they give you a receipt and just say wait. They got a load today and of course dont have my tool box but another store has one. Called the other store and of course they cant give me theirs because I bought it at another location. Employees were nice but ill never shop there again.

Harbor Freight is like the “let me just grab one thing real quick” store… and somehow you leave with a welder, zip ties, a flashlight, and a tool you didn’t even know existed Honestly though, they’ve got great tools for beginners, or for people testing out a new hobby, or me “I’ll probably only use this once” . But every once in a while you buy something there and suddenly you’re using it nonstop thinking, “Why didn’t I get this sooner?”

I walked in at 7:45pm and they were closing at 8. I stopped as I walked in totally expecting to hear "we close in 15 minutes" but instead got a kind greeting from the cashier. At the store by my home in California if you walk close to closing time your greeted by the loud speaker "last call for purchases" and a dirty look for sure. They may seem eager to help you find what you came for, but in reality they just want you out of the store a.s.a.p.

I arrived at Harbor Freight shortly before closing, only to be told immediately upon entering that they were shutting down early. I’m not sure what’s happening with customer service lately, but the blatant laziness and lack of professionalism is completely out of control.
