I never thought I would give harbor freight a low rating like this. I came in 5 mins to close for a saw that I knew was on aisle 4 I pre shopped for it so I can be in an out. I go to aisle for and here comes Jon a new face ive never seen there before n he instantly won’t leave me alone . He is rudely asking me what I’m looking for that they close in 5 mins . He literally repeats this 6 times to the point I’m so annoyed and uncomfortable n couldnt even focus on finding my saw becuase he was non stop harrassing me I told him he needs to leave me alone becuase I know what I wanted n he is literally stopping me from getting it . It’s so much worse then I can explain in a review. I’m 3rd in line and tbe lines not moving I asked out loud as I’m looking at the end cap if he batteries where still there cuz I didn’t see them n they are normally end cap items a no could of been fine but here comes John yelling at me saying I needed to be in line checking out before 8. It was still not 8 n the line placement was the same I was still number 3 in line. John lies and says it’s after 8 and I can’t purchase my items . When I was in line before 8 n still 3rd in line. I asked the other customers if they think John is being rude to me and harrassing me and literally all 3, thw couple checking out , the guy waiting next everyone agreed John was being super aggressive and harrassing me for no reason . He then said you don’t need to show here we aren’t going to let you check out. I have never been treated so badly at anything business before not like this . This was uncalled for and unacceptable unnecessary. His behavior was extremely disgusting . His name tag said his name and said he was the manager . But again ive come to this store for the last 10 years and have never seen him before today. I reported it to harbor friegue corporate and will keep reporting and following up until something happened. And even if I report again it’s still won’t be as many times as John repeated the same thing to me over n over again for 5 mins . If there’s cameras in the store then let them be proof. If you notice all the recent reviews for this store have been really bad . There’s been a change and it’s not good. But harrassing customers is never a good thing. He should not be working anywhere where customer service is involved the way he treated me makes no sense at all. N then he yelled saying I should of came sooner. I literally had to turn around and go back thw way I came from since the police had shut down northgate directly before the store so there was no way to get thru . N plus I still made it with 5 mins to spare n was in line before ur even turned to 8. So there’s no excuse for his nasty words and attitude. I took a picture of him so everyone is aware of this unpleasant being and beware I suspect more complaints will roll in from others just based on interacting with him. This was the worst shopping experience of my entire life . I’m still in shock. I hope harbor freight takes this issue seriously . Low rating reviews will be made everywhere to reach more ppl and warn them about this guy. On to yelp. Again beware of John at harbor freight on northgate he is a agressively rude .

Really sucks we became members for 2 years at this one and everything, have shopped at this location specifically for the whole 5 years we have lived in Sacramento. We were further from this location in errands, drove out of our way because my fiance prefers this location, to be told at 6:58pm we couldn't come in as they closed at 7pm when we needed 1 simple thing to finish our project and knew exactly what it was. Wasted our gas, our time, etc after spending $400 at this location in the past 2 months alone. Sadly, my fiance and I did not feel this showed any customer loyalty. Ive worked in customer service for 12 years including multiple management positions and I knew my regulars. I would've at least asked what they needed and if it was quick.

I shopped at many Harbor Freight stores all over California. They don’t have the highest quality tools and home improvement products. But they have the best prices and selection. This Harbor Freight on Northgate Blvd in Sacramento is no different than all the Harbor Freight stores I shopped at before. The store has good layouts, and I found everything I wanted. The employees are helpful and knowledgeable. The only thing that I don’t have a five-star rating for this store is because of their parking lot. The parking lot lacks maintenance, and I saw many homeless people in the area. This makes me worry about my car. So I have to shop very quickly and leave!

This is by far one of my favorite places to visit when I need little items. I find the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful. They take pride in their store which shows by its cleanliness and product availability. If an item is not on the shelf the staff will look up the nearest location it is available and let you know the inventory on hand and if you ask they will even tell you when they expect to have it restocked. I have purchased a few tools from here with a warranty and the process to replace a broken tool is effortless. It is nice having a small hardware store close by that I can rely on considering I don't drive.

Inventory is 👍 good. When one purchases something, then that item comes on sale a couple of weeks later, the manager didn't give the sale price, So, I returned the item and I was told that if I tried to purchase that item for the sale price, that he, the manager wouldn't sell it to me for the advertisement price! That I'd have to go to another harbor freight store. I'm a physically disabled senior citize. I will be going to Home Depot, just because of the managers attitude!!
