Large variety of tools, of the sort a single workman, homeowner, or small business might find appropriate. My understanding is that most items are of the company's own design and manufacture, made to be sold at low prices, with built-in long-term warranties should the tools fail and need replacements. Certain minor, yet often useful items, are often sold here at extraordinarily low "sale" style prices. Some things I like here: at least a couple types of grabbers; ear muffs to reduce decibel levels; yellow rain ponchos; large packs of very cheap light work gloves...

I called up to see if they had a certain item. Sarah said it was in stock but she refused to check so I drove across town to the 3rd harbor freight of the day and it actually wasn't in stock. Tez, The manager just excused Sarah saying that she was new. The people at the Madison avenue store were much more friendly and helpful.

I bought a 3 ton jack from there less than 2 years ago , I may have use it 10 times changing oil and other small tasks. I tried to swap it out or see if their was anything they could do , fix it etc...... Nope , I will never buy their junk products again. Save yourself the hassle and buy name brand , not Harbor Freight junk.

I bought a piece. I used it 3 times and it broke. They wouldn't let me return it either. What's the point, it's time has passed. I think I won't shop here anymore, I'll go and buy online, it's both cheaper and better quality.

We were on a road trip with our Motorcycles with friends, pulling trailers, behind our bikes when our friends trailer took a bad hop and broke a shock mount. Solution: a little trailer, to put their trailer in so we could continue our vacation trip. He found Harbor Frieght had one, but it needed to be assembled. The manager Nicki was so incredibly helpful. She got it out back and showed us that we could assemble it behind the store and checked on us to make sure we were OK. Kuddos go out the a crew working behind HF, who also came to our rescue and offered us the use of some of their cordless power tools. Best thing is, we were able to assemble that 3x4 trailer in about an hour. Then we went to retrieve their trailer. The Harbor frieght trailer pulled beautifully behind his trike! Highly recommend this Harbor frieght and their staff.
